These beautiful caskets are handcrafted by Trappist Monks and skilled artisans using woods from their own sustainable forest. They are made of solid wood—no veneers—in the tradition of fine woodworking. Every casket and urn is blessed and asperged and contains a hand-signed note from the officiating monk.
Every casket features eight, easy-to-grasp handles and a two-piece lid. Simple but elegantly upholstered with a pillow, mattress, and elevating bed, each casket also comes with an optional cross that rests on the lid.
Our premier, deep-lid, rectangular casket is constructed using the time honored method of raised-panel joinery and compound miters. This model, with its understated dignity and reverence for wood, is an ideal display casket for wakes and funerals. It is available in Black Walnut and Oak. The cross on the lid is optional.
